TEAM CAPS
At Emmaus, we are fortunate that we can offer some alternative caps. The first one is free, and when needed, your family will be billed for any other.
1- Each swimmer receives a GREEN Silicone Cap at the beginning of each season.
2- When swimmers earn 5 or more District Top 8 times from the previous seasons District Championships (see charts below), they will earn a YELLOW Silicone Cap.
3- As a staff, we will also recognize swimmers with a BLACK Silicone Cap who exemplify what it means to be an Emmaus Hornet by holding the team values over the self, and consistently models the Emmaus Athletic Departments Players' Player Values: This is the athlete that fellow team members admire, respect, and recognize that if all team members were to strive to be like this swimmer, the Team would be better as a whole. It is the swimmer who performs to the best of his/her ability and not necessarily the most talented swimmer. This athlete offers encouragement to fellow teammates in and out of the pool. This swimmer also sets the standard to be followed and, in doing so, inspires teammates to be the best they can be. It is this swimmer who has the most heart, swims to win, exhibits fair play, and displays proper sportsmanship toward opponents, officials, teammates, and coaches. If the team’s best efforts are not enough to come out triumphant, it is the swimmer who exhibits grace in the face of defeat.
