EVALUATION
- Overall Rankings--- These 2 days simply show the staff what you have been doing since last season OR if you are a first-year swimmer, it provides insight as to your ability to adapt as well.
- Have you improved or evolved positively over the past year
- Working well in a lane with others
- Helping Set Up and Clean Up the pool
- Coachability--- the ability to be corrected and then implement the correction
- COMMITMENT-- Are you committed to the entire season? Do you have vacations planned, appointments made, etc., which will prevent your commitment?
EXPECTATIONS FOR THE SEASON:
- Practices are at least 2 hours, and sometimes 2 and a half or even 3 hours daily (Mon-Sat)
- Expect to practice over Thanksgiving and Winter Breaks, along with other holidays in January and February. Throughout the season, on days off from school or half days, we still practice.
- The season begins around mid-November and runs to at least mid-February and no longer than mid-March
- The practice may also involve dryland sessions with YOGA, running, stretching, and strength training. Running Sneakers and dryland clothing, along with a jump rope, are needed.
- Unwavering support for our program and our student-athletes' future development.
